After having my mixes up for download for the past few years, I think it’s time to finally migrate to the streaming site Mixcloud.

This represents a fundamental shift in my approach to DJing. I hope to produce general mixes more frequently (mainly to improve my chops, jeez it’s been too long!) and make them available for download temporarily on this site, still using the “Pay With a Tweet” system, or briefly on SoundCloud.

So if you want to get a copy of my older mixes, or download my upcoming sessions, you have until I get everything migrated and deleted to do so!

Sorry if this is an inconvenience to anyone, but I’m hoping the increased frequency of actually DOING something will offset the loss of something that’s just been sitting there for years.

As many of you already know, I’ve been enjoying the shit out of my new Traktor S4; it has completely changed my life as a DJ.

After spending a few months playing with it, I’ve finally been able to record my first mix on it, which is avaialble for listening below.

Artists featured on Dark Synthesis include: Oil 10, Boytronic, Combichrist, Memmaker, Ivardensphere, Ayria, Ladytron, Deadmau5, Duran Duran, Sam, Corporate Soldiers, Interface, Faderhead, Funker Vogt, Reaper and Selene Riot.

There’s also a mashup with And One that I’ll be cutting out and posting later this week.

Sorry about the delay in getting this mix posted. If you were at Valentinos this past Friday, we gave out a few copies, and over the next few weeks we’ll be burning dozens more, so if you want a copy, be sure and watch the Night Shift website as well as twitter and myspace for our next event!
