This was my entry into the FiXT Remix Contest last month. I enter these mostly for the practice as I had never heard the original before (fyi the original is pretty different, heavy hard and loud, go check it out!)

I’m working on another remix contest, and I HOPE that entry will be a bit heavier and darker, but in the meantime take a listen below and let me know what you think.

Raikon at Omnicon June 18-20

Omnicon is the valley’s only comic-anime convention, and this year it’s running June 18-20 at the Best Western Palm Aire in Weslaco.

On that Saturday, June 19 don’t miss Reikon, an after-party featuring local DJs, and I’m forturnate enough to be on the lineup, along with bosco, Kr-Juice-1, Crunkbot, OPTX, and Trance Army. This is going to be an awesome show at an awesome party, so don’t miss out!

Entry to the after party is FREE to attendees of the convention, otherwise only $5. Tickets to Omnicon are already available including early-bird and group discounted passes, so buy yours today!

Artwalk May 7

Bosco (from DiscoTrash) has invited me to spin a short set at the last Artwalk of the season. This Friday I’ll be at Roosevelts at 7. I’m on the lineup to spin at 9pm, but since there’s so many DJs (and so much chaos) at the artwalk, it could go plus or minus about 30 minutes or so. But I’ll be there a good long time, so come any time and we’ll chat over a Golden Monkey (or two, if you’re buyin).

In addition, Yvonne will be up front in the vendors area selling her hand-made wares at the Artwalk for the first time! Be sure and stop by and take a look.

Afterwards, who knows? Let me know where the party’s at and we’ll meet you there…

May 2010 Update

Finally setup a MySpace page for my djing, as well as a new twitter account, be sure to follow me there.

Also I’ve begun a transition from DJ to producer by putting together a few mashups: A Number and the Ones crosses Zombie Girl with Rotersand, and Second Death Damage pairs Edge of Dawn with Suicide Commando.

I’ve also entered an ACIDplanet Remix Contest with an original remix of EHM Remix by STS9.

In addition to my new work in the studio, I have several new gigs lined up starting with the Artwalk this Friday May 7. Next month I’ll be spinning at Omnicon and Lunar Eclipse, so be sure and check those out!

I have tons more planned as far as mixes and remixes, so stay tuned, see you at the events!

Friday April 23 at the McAllen Convention Center enjoy a FREE night of DJs, VJs spining the best electronic music in all different genres, including House, Electro, Bmore, Hip-hop, Drum n bass, dubstep, and more.

I will be there representing Night Shift with some industrial and dark-electro tracks. Not sure the time, but come out early and stay out late, it’s gonna be a good time!

Music starts at 5pm and runs through midnight. Bring a blanket, a cooler, friends and a good vibe!

Sorry about the delay in getting this mix posted. If you were at Valentinos this past Friday, we gave out a few copies, and over the next few weeks we’ll be burning dozens more, so if you want a copy, be sure and watch the Night Shift website as well as twitter and myspace for our next event!

The first track on the mix is “Misery Loves Company” by Angels on Acid. If you haven’t already heard, this show has been moved to Valentinos in Brownsville. So be there Sunday March 7 for a show you don’t want to miss!
