It feels like an eternity since I’ve been able to say this, but… I’m finally back in the studio making music again! I decided to just jump in, and to help break the creative ice, I started playing around with some AI tools. Not to create an entire track for me, but rather to inspire ideas like chord progressions and melodies. This track was definitely 100% produced, sequenced, instrumented, and mixed entirely by me not AI! I also leveraged LANDR to master the final mix, and I think it came out pretty good!
I wanted to create something that has a vibe, something you can get lost in. This process was a powerful reminder that sometimes, you just need a little nudge to get the creative momentum going. Using AI for inspiration felt less like cheating and more like getting a prompt for a story—you still have to write the whole book yourself.
Stay is my first new original track in way too long. It feels amazing to not only finish something but to put it out into the world for you all to hear. This is just the beginning, too. The creative fire is officially re-lit!
I’ve already started working on my next project, and my goal is to get back into a regular rhythm of releasing music. On top of that, I’m happy to report that I’m dusting off the decks and plan to get my 7-mixes rolling again very soon, so stay tuned for more!
